Drexel Shrine Mission Prize Mass
Last Saturday in January at 5:15 p.m. anticipated Mass
All entrants into the yearly Drexel Shrine Mission Prize essay competition are honored, and the winner is presented with a plaque. A reception is held afterward.
February
P.A.T.H. Retreat
Second Saturday of February
In honor of the founding of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, the Shrine offers a retreat inspired by the St. Katharine’s Piety, Appreciation, Tenacity, and Humility which characterized her life and spirit.
March
St. Katharine Drexel Lecture
First Saturday in March, Following Anticipated Mass
The Shrine hosts a speaker to provide insight on St. Katharine’s life and legacy.
Feast Day of St Katharine Drexel
March 3rd
Always celebrated by a Mass in the Basilica, talks at the Shrine throughout the day, and concluding with Adoration at the Drexel Family altar.

Weekly Rosary
Thursdays in May, following 12:05 p.m. Mass
A communal rosary to our Blessed Mother, animated with spiritual writings and teachings of St. Katharine Drexel.
June
Corpus Christi Adoration
Evening of Corpus Christi
The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ closes every year with Adoration at the Drexel family altar.
August
Anniversary of the Translation of St. Katharine’s Sacred Remains
August 2nd every year
This anniversary is marked every year with a Mass in the Cathedral Basilica and hospitality in Drexel Hall.
Torresdale Reading Club
Thursday evenings in August and September
A virtual gathering of adults who meet weekly to discuss a book on St. Katharine, her mission, or her legacy.
October
Day of Giving and Service
Sunday before October 1st
On October 1, 2000 St. Katharine was canonized by St. Pope John Paul II. This event is marked yearly by a day of prayer, volunteering, and philanthropy to encourage everyone’s journey to sainthood,
