Holy Day of Obligation
“The Church believes that the eternal Mystery of Christ, saving us on the cross and risen from the dead, reached back into history and preserved Mary from being conceived with Original Sin. Without Original Sin, Mary was not destined to die. Rather, when her life would end on earth she would fall asleep in this life and wake in eternal life”.
~ Fr. Dennis Gill
