Religious Education for Children

Religious Education for Children

The Cathedral Parish does not have an in-house option for religious education for all ages of school age children.

However, we are happy to be able to offer a Cathedral Sacramental Preparation Program taught by dedicated volunteer catechists right here at the Cathedral!  There will be no tuition for these classes; the only costs will be for books and materials. There will be a class offered for children in grades 1-3 for First Penance/First Communion; and one for children in grades 7-8 for Confirmation.

If your child/children are NOT attending religious education, are in religious education with another parish, are attending a Catholic School in the Archdiocese, OR a home-based program, they may attend our classes.  Children of families not registered as parishioners may attend these classes.  Please send an email to Sister Mary Raphael (including your phone number) or call her at the number below if you are interested or have questions.

There will be a section for Spanish-speaking children/families, and one for English-speaking children/families, at BOTH levels.

More details and a schedule will be forthcoming by the beginning of August regarding the class schedule for each class and section; as well as the paperwork needed.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF THESE CLASSES FOR YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO:
