Pope Leo has declared 2026 as a Jubilee Year to mark the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. Those who make a pilgrimage to a Franciscan Church this year receive a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions of prayer, confession and Holy Communion.
Saint John the Evangelist Church, 21 S 13th Street, Philadelphia, is staffed by Capuchin Franciscan Friars and is a pilgrimage church. The Capuchin Friars welcome pilgrims to Saint John’s during the Jubilee year. You are invited to arrange a pilgrimage for your parish or group.

- Opportunity for confessions
- Opportunity to attend a daily Mass at 12:05 or 5:15 pm
