Blessing of Animals

In joyful thanksgiving for God’s gift of creation, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul invites you to bring your beloved pets to the Blessing of Animals. Following the tradition associated with St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and ecology, we give thanks for the goodness of God’s creation and ask His blessing upon the animals entrusted to our care. All are welcome to join us on Saturday, October 3 at 11:00 AM or Sunday, October 4 following the 12:30 PM Mass. The blessing will take place in front of the Cathedral Chapel.
