Serve Where You Are

Service can take many forms: Teaching and mentoring, supporting children and families, serving people experiencing poverty, welcoming newcomers, supporting parish ministries, volunteering in Catholic schools and organizations, praying for those in need, using professional gifts for the good of others, and so much more.

The question is not whether you have something to give. The question is how God is asking you to give it!

Annual Opportunities for Service

Our annual service opportunities invite individuals, families, and groups to put faith into action in the spirit of Saint Katharine Drexel. Throughout the year, volunteers can share their time and talents at different events sponsored by the Shrine. Each opportunity is a meaningful way to serve others while carrying Katharine’s legacy of faith, generosity, and love into our community.

Become a Volunteer

The Cathedral Basilica depends upon people who are willing to share their time and gifts. Volunteers help create a welcoming environment for pilgrims and visitors and help the Shrine fulfill its mission of prayer, education, and hospitality. There are many ways to serve:

• Welcoming pilgrims
• Assisting with special events
• Supporting Shrine programs
• Helping with educational initiatives
• Assisting visiting groups
• Sharing administrative or professional skills
• Supporting communications and outreach
