Join us for this concert as Artcinia and the Archdiocese launch a new relationship with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to bring the performing arts to our parishes.

Artcinia is connecting professional performing artists with neighborhood venues and audiences to create performing arts experiences that are accessible, affordable, and close to home.

The program features the Pyxis Piano Trio performing iconic works of the great German masters including the music of Beethoven and Brahms. This is an inspiring one-hour program, and we invite you to bring your families and friends to celebrate our commitment to expanding our community through the universal language of music.

A portion of your ticket price will be used to present programs in parishes throughout the Archdiocese.

The Pyxis Piano Trio performs chamber music works from the sonata, duo, and trio repertoire. It is a vibrant presence in the mid-Atlantic region, known for compelling, engaging, and informative performances. Music critic Christine Facciolo writes that “balance, superb intonation and sensitive interpretation characterized [their] performance.”

Pyxis Piano Trio members Luigi Mazzocchi, violin, Jie Jin, cello, and Hiroko Yamazaki, piano, will perform two mainstays of the chamber music canon: Beethoven’s Op. 11 trio for piano, violin and, cello (the “Gassenhauer” ) and Brahms Op. 8 trio for piano, violin, and cello.

The inspiring one-hour program will feature the Pyxis Piano Trio who will perform iconic works of the great German masters including the music of Beethoven and Brahms. All people of goodwill are invited to bring their family and friends to celebrate community through the universal language of music.
