Young Adult Events

“We are the Young Adults at the Cathedral parish,
committed to the Faith, to Fellowship and to Community Service, for the Praise & Glory of God,
and to the benefit of our Christian lives.”

Young Adults at the Cathedral,
As it notes in our mission statement above we are “…committed to the Faith” as well as the growth of this ministry.  In order to continue to serve each of you (in addition to any friends you would like to bring) we are adjusting our regular events.

Upcoming Events for the Young Adults of the Cathedral Parish:

  1.  Rosary before Mass:
We hope that each of you will consider joining us every second Sunday of the month at 5:45 PM prior to the 6:30 PM Mass to pray the Rosary as a group. (Rosary on Oct.8th has been cancelled)
  2.  The LAST SESSION of our DISCIPLESHIP SPEAKER SERIES is being RESCHEDULED! It will not be held on October 6.  All of the other sessions have been marvelous and even if you haven’t made any of the previous sessions, do not worry, just plan to join us for the our final session, spread the word and bring friends too! The date for the FINAL SESSION is FRIDAY DECEMBER 1 SAME TIME AND LOCATION (7:30pm in the Pastoral Center – 222. N. 17th St). Topic: Christian Disciples as Witnesses to Jesus and his Church to Others
  3. In leu of the Rosary originally scheduled for this Sunday prior to Mass, we hope you will join the parish for the following events in prayer for our nation:

Reverend G. Dennis Gill, Rector and Pastor of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, invites all parishioners and friends of the Cathedral to a Mass and Rosary being offered for all those who died and are suffering as a result of the recent and tragic incidents in Las Vegas. Join Others in Prayer for the Victims of the Las Vegas Massacre @ the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul

      Saturday, October 7, 2017
    5:15 p.m. (Mass)
    7:00 p.m. (Rosary)

The massacre in Las Vegas this past Sunday night taking the lives of almost sixty people and injuring almost 600 people affects all of us. All people of good will are welcome this Saturday evening, October 7th to the 5:15 p.m. Mass to pray for all the victims—those who have died and those who have been injured, for healing and for an end to such senseless tragedy in our land. We can never allow ourselves to become immune to horrific violence and also to fail to pray for those caught in the grip of such violence. Those who have died will be especially remembered as we unite them to the Sacrifice of the Lord in the Eucharist.

The Archdiocesan Rosary that will take place later this same evening at the Cathedral Basilica at 7:00 p.m. will also include prayers for all those who have died and have been injured in the Las Vegas Massacre.
