20th Anniversary of the Canonization of Saint Katharine Drexel

Join us on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at the 11 AM Solemn Mass to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Saint Katharine Drexel’s Canonization. She was declared and canonized a saint by Pope Saint John Paul II on October 1, 2000.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Saint Katharine Drexel became our nation’s second U.S.-born saint. A fierce advocate for the poor, she spent her life—and her fortune—assisting those in need. We welcome everyone to join us to celebrate this joyous occasion.

All are welcome to present intentions and petitions at the Saint Katharine Drexel Shrine, to be placed at the Tomb of Saint Katharine, asking her heavenly assistance.
Prayer intentions may also be sent online through the website.

Details about her Canonization are available here.
